Appalachian Opry .... Special Memories June 20,2009 Thanks to all 'live music' music fans in west central Ohio! June's Appalachian Opry crowd numbered over 150 folks. Thanks for the support of our Opry entertainers that bring their talents to the Boatwhistle Hall stage on a monthly basis. This month we enjoyed a wide variety of music and talents including traditional country, bluegrass, 'get down' blues, and fine harmony singing. This month's musicians include: Opry Band: Kitty & Vernon McIntrye, Chalmer Rowe, Tom Patrick, and Emily Baehr Guests: Moon City Folk (Erica & Ryan Schweitzer, Ryan Weaver) with some fine harmonies, Laura Ritchie and DDT (Dick, Deb, & Terry) (good harmonies on country, folk, and Gospel), Jenny Pleman (kickin' bluegrass, acoustic, and more), Woody Hunter (he knows his way around a good bluegrass song), Rhonda Rowe (singing those great country classics), D.D.B. (Zach Laffin and Ben Budde) some great blues with elegant guitar work; Mary-Jo Ward (makes that autoharp boogie and sing), and more good fun with the Comedy Crew (Laura, Joyce, Jenny, Kitty#1, Kitty#2, and Joe).
