Howdy!

I’m all excited!  Vinoklet Winery has kindly agreed to have us continue our weekly Bluegrass shows through December.  Sooooooo, make plans to join us on Wednesdays for dinner and an evening of bluegrass at 11069 Colerain Ave.

Dinner service starts at 5pm; we pick from 6:30 til 8:30.  Admission is free.  Wednesday’s menu features the famous Vinoklet All You Can Eat Spaghetti and Meatballs buffet but other choices are available; just ask your server.  Reservations are recommended; call 513-385-9309.  For additional details and other events, check their website at https://www.vinokletwines.com/

I am also looking forward to the Vinoklet Art and Wine Festival coming up this weekend, September 7 through 9.  I have never attended the Festival but have heard so much about it!  Appalachian Grass is part of the Friday evening entertainment lineup.  The Festival features lots of free

entertainment:  enjoy the beautiful setting with the charming hilltop restaurant & gazebo overlooking 30 acres of perfectly tended vineyards; sing, dance, and shop the wares offered by juried arts & crafts vendors; enjoy the Grape Stomping Contest pitting the Colerain Police Department against the Colerain Fire Department; plus there is lots of live musical entertainment throughout the weekend!  Good food and drink is available for purchase.  Vinoklet will, of course, offer wine tasting, a Fried Chicken dinner on Sunday, and their Grilled to Perfection dinner on both Saturday and Sunday.  Other food and drink options are offered by various food trucks and assorted beer vendors.  Find more details on their webpage at https://www.vinokletwines.com/single-post/2018/08/09/Art-Wine-Festival.

September 15 takes Appalachian Grass back to the historic canal town of Metamora, IN for an evening concert at the Metamora Opry Barn.  Located at 19189 Pennington Rd Metamora, IN  47030, the Opry Barn is a renovated tomato canning factory!  It is a neat venue in a beautiful setting.  Good food available for purchase on site.  Admission is $8; house band starts at 6pm.  Appalachian Grass comes on at 7pm.  Website:  https://www.metamorampa.org/bluegrass-nights-at-the-opry-barn.

Join us September 29 at Country Lane Treasures, 4790 Grubbs Rex Rd, Arcanum, OH  45304 for their Harvest Extravaganza!  Country Lane Treasures is a quaint little shop in the middle of nowhere offering home decor, antiques, candles, melts, signs, bereavement stones, and so much more.  Their Harvest Extravaganza features 75 unique vendors selling all kinds of handmade items, antiques, and lots of collectibles!  In case of hunger, food trucks are onsite.  We pick from 10am til 1:30.  Admission is free but a donation for parking is requested; funds are used to help local needy families.  Grab your friends and neighbors, bring a lawn chair and come out and spend the day with us!  For more info, call 937-475-5971.
